Mitchel Athletic Complex, New York   Attendance -

Cosmos clinched the Northeast Title and moved into the semi-finals of the NPSL Championship after a 3v1 win over the Mid-Atlantic Champions Baltimore in a game which saw 3 red cards. Baltimore made a sluggish start to the game and Cosmos wasted no time in capitalising striking early after just 4mins when the Baltimore keeper could only parry a shot from Burgos and Acuna was on hand to tap in from close range.
Cosmos were dominating play and Acuna went close on 2 more occasions as Baltimore remained camped inside their own half.
Baltimore showed signs of improvement as the half wore on, but Espinal should have doubled New York's lead late in the half after miscuing an effort with the Baltimore goal gaping. Burgos went through soon after and after some good work shot weakly at the Baltimore keeper.
With Baltimore looking to see out the half and regroup they grabbed an unlikely equaliser. A swift counter-attack by the visitors led to Nick Gumbs being one on one with Galvao. The Baltimore man kept his cool and created a shooting opportunity to slot past Blanchette. Cosmos continued to squander chances as they wasted another chance in stoppage time, shooting straight at the Baltimore keeper.
Baltimore came out much improved in the second half and came close to going ahead, blazing over from close range after some good build up play. Cosmos had lost the momentum of the first half, but gained a numerical advantage when Baltimore were harshly reduced to 10 men following a needless foul. From the free-kick Cosmos almost took immediate advantage, but Baltimore scrambled the effort away.
In hot conditions Baltimore were forced back and Cosmos regained the lead in the 70th minute when a right wing cross fell to Agolli who drilled a fine effort into the net.
Burgos made sure of a Cosmos win with a fantastic long range effort following a quickly taken free-kick which left the Baltimore keeper rooted to the spot.
Bardic came on as a late substitute and was denied a goal after his close range header was well saved.
In the 90th minute tempers flared as the red card came out again for Cosmos sub Aaron Dennis and another Baltimore player.
